Okay, I'm getting ready for bed and I decide to check out the Drudge Report website to see what's going on in the world...

And my blood pressure explodes! There is a report of a Hispanic bar owner in Reno, Nevada flying a Mexican flag above the American flag. Now, boys and girls, the last time I checked Nevada was still in the United States, correct?

And, last time I checked, flying a flag above the United States flag in this country is wrong. Even if you own a bar in a Hispanic community. Code Section Seven, Title four states:

(c) No other flag or pennant should be placed above or, if on the same level, to the right of the flag of the United States of America, except during church services conducted by naval chaplains at sea, when the church pennant may be flown above the flag during church services for the personnel of the Navy. No person shall display the flag of the United Nations or any other national or international flag equal, above, or in a position of superior prominence or honor to, or in place of, the flag of the United States at any place within the United States or any Territory or possession thereof: Provided, That nothing in this section shall make unlawful the continuance of the practice heretofore followed of displaying the flag of the United Nations in a position of superior prominence or honor, and other national flags in positions of equal prominence or honor, with that of the flag of the United States at the headquarters of the United Nations.

Our story might end here but a real American patriot saw this atrocity and acted. A U.S. Army veteran, Jim Brossert, took his trusted Army knife and cut the flags down, leaving the Mexican flag on the ground and taking the American flag with him. He did this while news cameras were rolling and had this to say to reporters as he was walking away:

"I’m Jim Brossert and I took this flag down in honor of my country with a knife from the United States Army. I’m a veteran, I am not going to see this done to my country. If they want to fight us, then they need to be men, and they need to come and fight us, but I want somebody to fight me for this flag. They’re not going to get it back.”

The "brave" Hispanic bar owner refused to say anything on camera but did tell reporters that he was an American citizen and didn't know it was wrong to do this. He was just "showing support" for the local Hispanic community. Perhaps he should learn THIS country's traditions if he's going to live here and make money here.

And you can bet you sweet bippy that, had he flown the American flag above the Mexican flag in his own country he would be eating slop in a Mexican prison.

How dare you people call him a hero. This type of pull-your-military-knife-out-and-challenge-obvious-pacifists-to-a-fight is the same attitude that has us in the terrible state of world affairs we are in.

Would it have been too much trouble to talk to these Hispanic gentlemen before violently slashing the flag down and leaving the Mexican flag on the ground? All intimidation.

I am a white American male and had no idea that it is illegal to fly a flag from another country above ours. I applaud the store owner for keeping his cool and not resorting to the same barbaric tactics. By supporting this veteran you are supporting an intolerant criminal.”

This knuckle head would definitely have been a British sympathizer if he had been alive during our Revolutionary War. If everyone thought as he does then there would have never been a U.S.A.

Modern cowards? Huh? And you had no idea that it was illegal to fly another flag above the American flag? Maybe if you stopped worshipping the left, letting illegal aliens (and those "legal" citizens that spit in Uncle Sam's face) do as they please, and really learned your history, you might know just how many brave Americans had died for that flag. It is covered in the blood of heroes. And to allow ANYONE to disgrace it is just plain wrong.

The bar owner was aware of what he was doing; i.e., antagonizing the citizens of this country. I’m not falling for this “I’m only showing support…” I’m sick of these people using our own laws against us. So the flag the vet took belonged to the bar owner. What about the mental cruelty that these people are inflicting upon the American public by doing things like this? If the bar owner had been out there beating people with a stick and the vet took the stick away, would he still be held accountable for stealing the bar owner’s property? It’s the same to me — and I dare say to most other veterans.

I could not have said it better myself. I'm sick of laying down and being walked on, stomped on, by Hispanics who want what this country offers and yet won't let go of the third world countries they come from. I'm sick of Cinco De Mayo. I've said it before and I'll say it here. To H-E-DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS with Mexican-Americans, African-Americans, "fill in the blank"-Americans. I am an AMERICAN. Period. No dashes.

"Oh but cobra, you can't think like that. You sound racist!" you say? I don't care what the color of your skin is, I don't care where you were born, I don't care if you drape yourself with all the flags in the world, just don't spit in my face because I love, and live in, the country I was born in.
