Terri Clark is getting married. And the guy looks like a total geek. But that could be just my jealousy talking. There goes another one of my fantasies down the tubes....

One of the things that I do in my obsessive-compulsive world is download a CD a website http://www.militarycity.com/valor/honor.html weekly that has information on every man and woman in the U.S. military killed in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. The list is over 1800 and growing, albeit slower now than before. On this Memorial Day weekend, it saddens me to think of all the men and women who have died for freedom. "Thank you" just doesn't seem to be enough.

I've got a three day weekend off and have absolutely no plans whatsoever. Just bumming around, maybe taking in the new Star Wars movie and hiking in the canyon. Or writing something in Cyberspace no one will ever read. BTW, thanks Al Gore for inventing the Internet. ANOTHER way to waste my time.

I've started reading "Cry of the Kalhari" by Mark and Delia Owens again. It's the story of their 7 years in Africa studying lions and other wildlife. I read it years ago and while cleaning out my library of 100's of books, I came across it and thought it would be good to read it again. So far it has held my limited attention span quite well. You can probably still get it online or find it in a used book store. It's a good read.

Thanks for spending part of your day reading about mine.
