Oh, Canada...
I can't
believe the land of Hockey has legalized gay marriages. Now, I'm not
what anyone would call "tolerant" or "politically
correct" but I normally believe that we should live and let live.
When I heard one Canadian gay rights supporter (probably a figure
skating fan) say that Canada was now one of the few countries
in the world that was REALLY tolerant, I saw red!
To be
"tolerant" we must give license to every person, club, race,
sex, fetish, belief, etc. that comes down the pike? I think America is
being very tolerant in that we don't shoot drug dealers, rapists, or
child molesters (Yeah, Mikey, I'm still waiting for you to get
"friendly" with one of my grandsons...can you say adios?)
It ain't PC
in the world but MY Bible still says homosexuality is a sin. Hate the
sin, love the sinner and all but that doesn't extend to the civil
rights arena. The Bible is good enough for me. It was good enough for
President Washington also.
The bottom
line? You want men to walk hand and hand down Broadway or women to
make out in public restrooms, okay. Just don't expect me to wimp out
and not express my beliefs or opinions. I'm going to stand against
anything that angers God and that lowers the moral fabric of my
country. Period.
What? You
don't like what I'm saying? Move to Canada. I hear they're looking for
a few "girly men." But don't mess with those hockey guys.
They might not be as tolerant as I am....
