    The background used on this award is Palo Duro Canyon in the morning. Palo Duro Canyon is the second largest canyon in the United States, located just south of Amarillo, Texas. It is a mystical place where I go and can leave the "world" behind.

    This award is given to those Websites that exhibit some form of patriotic excellence, in design, content, or both, and bring honor to the United States and the military.

     This award is not given in any certain time frame. It is not a monthly award. It is not a yearly award. It is an award for American patriotism when our panel finds it on the 'Net.

     The background used on this award is my stepson's Apache shortly after he had returned from the mission on 23 March 2003 south of Baghdad, Iraq. Look in the "Heroes" category  on the Special Features page for the feature "Ambush In Iraq" for his story that day.
