A NOTE FROM THE WEBMASTER

9-11-2007

Tim Kenney, Webmaster

On this 6th anniversary of September 11th, I make no apologies for being American.

"What are you talking about, Tim?" you ask.

I am a war monger. To hell with being politically correct. To hell with the enemies of this country. And I am unashamed to say that.

I know war causes death. I know and have known good people who have died in war. My own stepson has been in combat in Iraq, twice. I cannot express in words how I feel knowing young men and women are dying and being maimed right now in service of this country.

But, whether we want to acknowledge the fact or not, this country and it's freedoms come with a price. A very steep price, sometimes.

And it's not just those who serve our great country in the armed services that pay that price. 3000 innocent people paid that price on September 11th, 2001. Have you forgotten? That's not just a cliché. Have you?

Do you remember that morning? The fear. The confusion. And, at the end of the day, the anger. Do you remember watching people jump out of windows 80 floors up to avoid burning to death? Do you remember watching CNN and seeing Arab children cheering at the attack on America. Do you remember the ache in your heart and the tears in your eyes?

I do. It's still there for me. I still see red. I still cry. My heart still aches. And I don't give a rat's behind what you might think now, it's not our President's fault, it's not Vice President Cheney's fault. It's not Senator Clinton's fault...

It's Muslim's fault. It's the things they teach their children. It's the things that teach their women. And their God is NOT my God. Some of their very own people agree that there are Muslim's who really don't understand what the Koran teaches. Some of their people that have had the guts to look inside of themselves to try and solve their problems, as opposed to looking at the "Great Satan," the USA as the oppressor.

Just like all religions, there is good and there is bad in how Islam is understood and taught. But extremism is far more rampant in Islam. When your "God" wants to give you rewards for killing those who don't believe as you teach, when your "God" instructs you to slice innocent heads off men, slicing their throats like butchering a pig, that's the very definition of EXTREME.

And some people in this country are spineless cowards. Yep, you read that correctly. Cowards. I am ABSOLUTELY not referring to the brave men and women serving in harm's way now...or in the past. I'm talking about those who whine and moan, who commit sedition, who want the country to fail in the war in Iraq. To fail in the war on terror. And if you are a veteran that feels that way, you are dishonoring every man and woman you served with.

"Tim, there is NO war on terror. Bush mislead us." you say? Or "Bush is responsible for the attack on 9-11," or "Bush just invaded Iraq for the oil."

Horse hockey! No freaking war on terror? Did you SEE the towers fall? Did you SEE the Pentagon burning? And Bush responsible for 9-11? Give me a break. The President can't even wipe his rear end without CNN or MSNBC covering it and their talking heads lambasting him for doing it wrong. And you think he could have pulled off something on the scale of 9-11 without SOMEONE coming forward to tell of the dirty deed? Just exactly what world DO you come from, 'cause it ain't this one.

For the oil? That's the funniest and, at the same time, the most aggravating "excuse" of them all. If that's the case, why in the world are we paying so much for gas? Forrest's mom said it best, "Stupid is as stupid does."

We need to focus. On the problem that is far more evil than Bush. Far more important than anything else. We need to focus on the enemy.

We need to close our borders NOW. We need to suck it up and stop being so politically correct. We need to add some iron to our spines. Mourn the dead and wounded but don't let their sacrifice be for nothing. Don't let the extremists off the hook. Or let them get out of your rifle sights.

We need to let our warriors fight and not tie their hands. Give them what they need to take the fight to the enemy, whether it's weapons and supplies or the latitude to "get nasty" on the bad guys. Show them the same mercy they showed those 3000 on 9-11.

We need to vote out those morons, not matter what their party, in Washington that want a "pretty" war. That want to "play by the rules." This ain't organized sports, this is sandlot. This is back alley. This is kick their a$$ before they kick ours.

I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees...facing east, praying to a false "God."

Bite me, Osama, I make no apologies for being American. And we're coming for you and your pals.
